INDIAN PRESS AND POLITY NOTHING BUT HOOPLA!!!!!
WHAT has gone wrong with our press and politicians ?
There priorities are really mixed up .There sense of public welfare has really gone awry.
While half the country is drought stricken ,in hundreds of districts there is such a sense of despair that the farmer suicides this time is going to break all records .
Moreover in a country where majority of the population is below poverty line ,
millions are going to bed hungry,are malnourished ,do not have access to sanitation ,education i.e. lack even in the basic amenities , these grave diggers ,these ignorant egotists are either haunted by Jinnah or are stuck in whims and fancies of the overtly sensitive khan.
Please can somebody tell me what is Jinnah going to do for us even if we accept him as secular ?
or for that matter - if we dont? is he going to give our children food , education , or is he going to somehow coarse pakistan into not being what it is today?
Somebody please tell why Shahrukh held the centre stage and was in the headlines ? when half the country did not have enough food to satiate there bowels ?
Sorry to say but they are just 'polishing firewood '

seriously mind boggling!
A quote from Amartya Sen had my childhood belief's to ransom a few days back!
It was threatening as It shook the very foundations of the belief framework that an average hindu is born with in India. The infallibility and the unquestionable status of our gods and icons is almost hard wired into us it is this notion which was put to test by one single blaring glaring sentence
"IN GITA SHREE KRISHNA DID NOTHING BUT INSPIRED ARJUNA TO KILL THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AT THE END OF THE DAY "
moreover he went on to say
"WHY DID GANDHIJI HAVE AN UNWAVERING FAITH IN SHREE KRISHNA ?"
now these are questions really to be brooded over ...
can somebody give a possible explanation?

JUIT ians all set to JETTISOn to the IIMS !! we are better equipped and better willed to crack the cat , find out how??
JUIT has 4 species of men::
first are those who are in love , those who have a partner , those who are experiencing this perennial bliss called love(do u have contrary views? never mind!) the love birds ,the successful, the awe inspiring , the pink world dwellers
then comes the second category those who are trying , yes ! those who are braving the steep slope of this insurmountable , draconian , mystifying monster of a mountain called love , for him life is hard and only oasis is -one look of his beloved , his lady love .
they are aspiring to be in the fraternity of the blissful first, they want to shift from this colourless world of theirs to the pinks....
then there are those for whom even bon jovi wrote the "its my life ",- the broken hearted ,the faith departed , life is just a hell hole of lost memories and ''could not be done's'' for them ,
its just if she had said 'yes' that there life would have been a different story altogether , a different flavour , a different aroma would have engulfed their lives but....these are the grey world dwellers , the third category...
then is this fourth category who by numbers do not even merit a mention here but still , they have a world of there own , they are neither interested in the girls nor there guys, they are just go-ogglers and fine commentators(especially on feminine matters) ,who if had shown there mettle in cricket commentary would have put a Harsha bhogle to ground ....
most of us JUIT ians belong to the first three categories, most of us! and we have one thing in common '' we epitomise dedication'' , yes ! only its a little misdirected!
the pink world dweller's play non stop innings from breakfirst at 8 in the morning till open air cafetaria till 10 in the night and even after that nothing stops them from making JUIT the region which boasts of the densest radio waves density in the world , they are the biggest contributours to the telecom revenue ......this regularity , would be ideal for a cat aspirant !
it is with the same dedication and even more that the aspirant class is pursuing its goals by different means , taking rejection and ignorance in their stride ,they are true spirit of the word invincible and 'never say die' ...there tenacity and devotion to their goal , this insurmountability , and penchant to brave the odds would definitely be an undefiable quality if put to good use ....for an IIM aspirant
then there are the third or grey world dwellers these people are even more apt to be a soldier for cat , as they are 24*7 devoted to there mournings ,similar they can do with the preparations and with there zest and fire they would nothing but cake walk the cat!
yes as they say 'the hungrier the lion in more danger is the prey'.
so almost all of us if just direct our dedication to a more meaningful direction ,I am sure! as we have already proved our mettle in the arena of love , would only just change the arena from love to life ,will emerge as winners ! no qualms about that ! he he!!!!

the off! obsession!
off obsession -
in my college these are a regular verbal handouts to you-
the library will be 'off' for the rest of the day
the labs will be 'off' after 5 pm
the gymnasium is 'off' for the next 3 days
off is not just routine but an obsession , its not just fashion but passion out here -
on an average the library has 7 working days out of which 2 days a week(at weekends) its 'off' time after 1 pm and add to it 1 holiday on an avg per week and fully functional period of our library comes out to be 4/7 i.e. that is just 57% of the total time .
on fully functional days the library opens from 9 a.m. till 12 am with a 1 hour break i.e. 14 hours while on these 'off' s it works from 9 am to 1 pm only! yes that's pathetic but true 4 hours . so while it should have worked for 14*7=168 hours it works for 14*4 +3*4=68 hours / week that is exactly 68/168 , 40% utilization of our resources !
while 60% are wasted on account of the passion obsession whatever of the authorities to 'off ' things out .
and why wont they do it - its the easier ,happier ,less tardy , less work more 'off' thing for them .
and who are to suffer ....we students .
while in rooms there is limited scope to study because hoards of gentlemen who have taken an 'off ' from all activities in life come barging in every now and then.
and then there are exams n gre n gmat from which we cant take an 'off ' for which we hav to prepare so people
do not get turned 'off'
